Cold outside, warm inside

This Monday I don't have to go to school, and unfortunately I'll be spending it under my blanket and surrounded by a billion tissues. Yes it's a very glamours way to spend your day off. The I-have-a-flu-way.

And since the coming week is going to be a really cold, I won't be the only ill one. Here are my tips to feel less cranky and get better fast.

1. Drink a lot, take a whole bottle water into your room and leave it open. So every time you feel like snacking you can drink instead.

2. Drink warm thee, for me it makes my throat hurt less and warms me up when I'm cold.

3. Read a book in bed, since it'll make you sleepy.

4. Sleep, it works better than any pills.

5. Eat fruit and vegetables. They will help your body to fight the virus/bacteria's.

6. Ask your best friend to come over. They will cheer you up and you'll forget your pain and illness

7. Eat soup. Jep, grandma's chicken-soup is magical.

8. Forget your illness. The fastest and most fun way to get better, is to simply to forget that you're sick.

Hope you won't be needing these tips, and if you will hope you'll get better soon!!!

An Angels Body

A lot of women promised themselves to get in shape this year. And admit it, who doesn't want a body like a Victoria’s Secret model? I found some diets and workout routines that the angels follow. And surprisingly, they’re not so complicated as other diets.

Supermodel Adriana Lima follows a portion diet. This means that you can almost eat anything you want but in a certain amount. On this site you can see how big (or tiny) the portions should be and what a “portion diet“ really is: linkAdriana practises boxing and capoeira in the first place, but she also follows a workout routine that the most angels follow you can find that here.
And last but not least you can see here a video of  Adriana giving tips on diet and tanning

I hope this was useful, stay tuned for more posts like this. Good luck and stay strong!

How to survive the exams?

I don't know what about you guys, but for me it's almost time for exams. Two more weeks, and I'll be lacking sleep, studying the whole day and praying that my grades will be higher than this blog has visitors.
I hate exam's (the only that is good, is that I finish school at 12 o'clock).
But that's how it is, and we can't change it, we can only do our best.
Here are some tips to help you trough this dark period.

1. Sleep. If you sleep enough you'll be in a better mood and time will go faster.

2. Plan. In order to sleep more, you have to plan your days out. Easy talking, I know. I'm lazy as shit. But believe me, it makes your life a whole lot easier if you don't have to study 2154 pages in a half hour.

3. Set goals. Why do you want good grades? For me, if I get good grades, I'll get what I want for Xmas instead of lame socks.

4. A good mood. Keep saying to yourself that you'll be able to pass and you will! BASED ON EXPERIENCE.

5. No panic. Don't fear it, you'll do good. It's an exam, it won't eat you.

6. Buy new pens, notebooks, whatever. When you get new stuff you like you want to use it straight away. It'll make much more fun to study.

7. Study out loud. It might sound silly, but say or explain stuff at loud in your room, that will help you to learn it faster and better.

8. Make summaries. It's much easier to repeat the information you need if you have them.

9. No allnighters. Don't stay up all night to study! If you do that chances are big that you'll have a black out.

10. Stay positive. Your exam's are made for children of your age, if you studied well it'll be a piece of cake ;).

Good luck my sunshine's :). A good cup of coffee and some good will and you'll make it :D.

How to make yourself happy?

Happiness, it's quit relative. Some people get overexcited when they see a piece of chocolate. Others have to have the newest Iphone and sometimes even that isn't enough. I used to be the second type of people, a material girl, but I learned to step aside from that. I learned to appreciate the small things in live. The smallest things can have the biggest impacts.

Like I said, happiness is relative, but here are the 10 things that can make you happy.

1. When you wake up just say to yourself:  'This day is going to be great!' Even if you know it'll probably be shitty, to think positive always makes your day better.

2. Wake-up and go to sleep with the same thought: 'I am pretty and unique.' Even if you don't like your hair, if your nose is too big, if your eyes are too small... You are one of a kind and
everyone is pretty in his own way.

3. Enjoy the small things in life. Like the warm cup of tea/coffee in the morning and the first sunshine after a period of gray sky and rain. Those little things can make your day.

4. Smile. A smile can do so much, not only for yourself but also for the people around you.

5. Believe in yourself. If you have an extremely difficult exam of math or something else that seems impossible to achieve, think to yourself: 'I can do this!' The power of words can be strong!

6. Think positive. I've already mentioned it, but this is what makes my life easier. Yes I had a bad day today, but tomorrow there's another one!

7. Make some time for yourself. Just to draw, think, listen to music...Being alone can do some good for you, it clears your mind.

8. If you have a problem, talk about it with someone. To talk about your problems can be a relieve. Even if you don't find a solution for your problems, if you can let go all of your bottled up feelings, it's a huge relieve.

9. Sleep enough. A normal person has to sleep at least seven or eight hours a day. You'll be less edgy and happier when you sleep enough.

10. Just go and do the stuff you want to do. We all have a lot of homework and we all have our responsibilities, but if you really want to go and shop 'till you drop, just do it! Or if you really want to see that movie, go and see it. Even if you do this only once a month, it helps a lot!

Love, Tina.
